Thursday Trial Watch: Developer Erik Osborn Indicted For Alleged Diversions

A Denver grand jury indicted Erik Osborn for diverting over $250,000 from development projects. If convicted, he will face up to 12 years in prison, The Denver Post reports.

Former attorney Alex Frank Gallegos was sentenced to two years in prison for drawing funds from various trust accounts of which he was the trustee, The South Fork Tines reports. Gallegos’ law license was suspended in April.

A Pueblo District Court ruled a priest’s file to remain sealed from the public, despite a new lawsuit against the priest for molesting a teenage boy.

Two Hartsel residents accused of poaching bobcats were indicted by a federal grand jury.

An Evergreen lawyer accused of a hit-and-run of a bicyclist on I-70 will be arraigned on Dec. 4 on charges of vehicular assault, leaving the scene of an accident, child abuse and driving while under the influence. The trial date has not been set.

The state Supreme Court will rule on whether Colorado counties can levy a “use tax” on gas-well equipment.

According to the Greeley Tribune, another Weld County dairy filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy as a result of the failure of the New Frontier Bank.
