Colo. Man Accused of Sending Hoax Anthrax Letters to Ala. Will Plead Guilty

A Colorado man charged in federal court in Birmingham, Ala., with mailing hoax anthrax letters to the offices of three Alabama congressmen wishes to plead guilty, according to federal court documents, as reported by The Birmingham News.

Jay DeVaughn, 41, of Denver, said wishes to plead guilty to the three counts of false information and hoaxes in Alabama and have his plea and sentencing handled by the federal court in Colorado, where he faces charges of sending similar hoax letters.
