DENVER — T. Markus Funk has joined the Denver office of Perkins Coie as a partner in the firm’s litigation practice and a member of the firm’s investigations and white collar defense group (IWCD). His first day is Oct. 1.
Funk was most recently with the U.S. Attorney’s office in Chicago, where he served in the Public Corruption and Organized Crime Section. He was an attorney and investigator specializing in business crimes, corporate investigations, complex commercial litigation, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) matters. He has tried more than 24 federal cases, achieving convictions in all of them.
Funk was part of the trial team in the organized crime murder racketeering conspiracy case dubbed “Operation Family Secrets,” the most extensive mob-murder racketeering case in U.S. history, according to a Perkins Coie press release.
