HRO Gets Company Of The Year Award From Women’s Chamber

LAW WEEK COLORADO

DENVER – Law firm Holme Roberts & Owen was honored as the mid-sized Company of the Year at the annual awards luncheon of the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce earlier this month.

According to the women’s chamber: β€œThe CWCC Company of the Year Awards honor companies that create a workplace culture that supports the highest levels of personal and professional accomplishment for their employees who are women by: encouraging them to excel in the company, devote time and energy to their community in a meaningful way, and forge paths of leadership for other women to follow and pay women, minorities and men equally. CWCC Companyof the Year strives toward these efforts to create balance in their leadership teams.”

HRO won the award for mid-sized companies, with 51-499 employees. The firm has 26 women partners. Additionally, half of the attorneys hired in 2010 are women and all three associates promoted to partner this year were women.

The women’s chamber also gave out awards for Young Professional of the Year, and two legal professionals were among the finalists.

Erin McAlpin Eiselein and Terri Taylor were recognized during the awards luncheon. Eiselein is a partner at Davis Graham & Stubbs whose practice focuses on antitrust and healthcare. Taylor is an communications professional at Holme Roberts & Owen. The winner, Diana Mead, is president of Denver-based credit risk management firm Allonhill.

The Young Professional Award is presented by the CWCC to young professional women who demonstrate significant career accomplishments and contribute to the Colorado business community.
