Michelle Z. McDonald has joined Denver law firm Jacobs Chase as of counsel to the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group.
McDonald, who joins the firm from Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Denver office, brings more than a dozen years of commercial real estate industry experience, her new firm said.
Her practice focuses on commercial real estate acquisition and disposition, the structuring of complex corporate and commercial real estate lending, retail, office and industrial leasing, large scale development and land use transactions.
“Michelle is a tremendous addition to our very talented and experienced real estate practice group,” firm partner Kevin Kelley said in a statement. “She brings a thoughtful, strategic, problem solving approach to her work that will provide great benefit to our team and the clients we serve.”
McDonald received her law degree with highest honors from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she returned after entering private practice to teach Basic Real Estate law as an adjunct professor for a year. While in law school, McDonald served as general editor of the University of Denver Law Review and a staff editor for the Transportation Law Review. McDonald currently serves on the board for the SPD Foundation and she was a participant in the 2010 Downtown Denver Partnership Leadership Program.
