Colorado House Speaker Frank McNulty has gone to work with a longtime Denver law firm that specializes in natural-resources work, The Denver Business Journal reports.
Grimshaw & Harring PC hired McNulty on Friday as a natural resources and water lawyer, it announced Wednesday. McNulty has operated a one-man general law practice since being elected to the House of Representatives in 2006. Before that, he worked for five years as the assistant director for water in the Colorado Department of Natural Resources.
Colorado has a so-called citizen legislature. Legislators work parttime for just $30,000, leaving them able to take other work the rest of the year.
