10th Circuit Seat Could Stay Vacant For 3 Years

LAW WEEK COLORADO

DENVER — Robert Henry stepped down from the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in July 2010, but it could be years before the seat is filled, The Oklahoman reports (The Rocky Mountain Appellate Blog also has an item about it).

Sen. Tom Coburn has reportedly blocked the prospective nomination of Janet Levit, the University of Tulsa law dean, over her background in international law. There is speculation that an appointment could be delayed until after the next presidential inauguration in January 2013.
