IN THE MIDST OF MERGER TALKS, Holme Roberts & Owen’s former chief operating officer Patty Fontneau was given the thumbs-up by the Colorado Health Benefits Exchange to head the state’s up-coming Internet health insurance marketplace for small businesses, reports the Denver Business Journal. Fontneau, who left left HRO in June, has more than 25 years of private sector management experience. Prior to joining HRO in 2008, Fontneau was chief administrative officer of IMA Financial Group, and was also the long-time vice president and general manager of TIAA-CREF.
