Defamation Verdict Vindicates DPD Officer


The plaintiff’s lawyers in a recent defamation case said they took their case to trial in order to clear their client’s name.

Edward Hopkins, attorney at Hopkins Way, and Raymond Bryant of the Civil Rights Litigation Group, received an $180,000 verdict for their client on Feb. 21 at the close of a four-day trial. Hopkins said the outcome brought justice to their client, Jeremy Olive, who had been publicly defamed.
