Yard signs warning drivers to slow down for bicyclists may pop up in your neighborhood this summer.

The Be Aware bicycle safety campaign began in Denver and surrounding areas on July 1. The goal of the campaign is to spread awareness of the dangers of speeding through neighborhoods where cyclists and pedestrians are present, specifically children on bikes.

The campaign was formed between Fuicelli & Lee, a law firm specializing in personal injury with offices in Denver and Longmont, and Project ReCycle in Denver, a 501(c)3 nonprofit that donates bicycles to low-income children. The campaign is expected to last until late August.

“We wanted to do more than just blog about safety,” said Travis Luther, owner of Law Father, a small digital agency that assists law firms with multimedia and online services, “We wanted to have more of a physical presence in the community.” Luther has been assisting Fuicelli & Lee with online marketing initiatives for about five years.
