Transaction attorneys Jacqueline Benson and William “Bo” Anderson were appointed partners at Denver firm Moye White.
In addition to her primary role as a business and transactional lawyer, Benson also has experience in securities. She is also on the board of directors of Sportwomen of Colorado and a volunteer with Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies.
Anderson focuses on real estate and taxation. He has a wife and two children.

Faegre & Benson Partner Chris Hazlitt was named Man of the Year for 2010 by the YWCA of Boulder County. The award honors those who have strengthened the Boulder community through dedicated volunteer service, commitment to advancing women and girls or their work to eliminate racism. Hazlitt has given time in either a volunteer or board capacity to many organizations, including The Community Foundation, Boulder Economic Council and the Boulder Innovation Center.
The YWCA 2010 honorees will be recognized at the 18th Annual Hall of Fame dinner March 13.

Polsinelli Shughart Denver Managing Partner Steve Long is making good on his promise to attract lateral partner.
Ronald G. Rossi will join the Polsinelli firm as a shareholder in Denver, where he will develop the clean technology practice and assist clients in the energy and biotechnology fields with complex financial transactions.
Rossi, formerly of Snell, has more than 30 years of experience related to mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and finance and project development in oil and gas, alternative energy, biosciences, health care and technology.
“Ron adds tremendous experience to our firm to serve the region’s leading and emerging clean technology and alternative energy industries,” Long said in a statement. “He has an outstanding reputation in the energy, business and legal communities, which will greatly benefit our clients. We’re privileged to have Ron as part of our Polsinelli Shughart team.”
A member of the Denver and Colorado Bar Associations, Rossi received his J.D. and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Michigan.

Colorado 10 law firm Holme Roberts & Owen announced that three of its attorneys have been elected partners. This latest round of new partners is unusual in that all are women. Associates Dawn MacKinnon and Alison Wadle and Senior Counsel Elizabeth Meier joined the partnership effective Friday. MacKinnon is in HRO’s Real Estate, Development, Land Use and Financing practice group real estate group, where she represents landlord and tenant clients in office and industrial leasing. She has handled over $500 million in commercial/industrial property acquisitions and dispositions nationally. Wadle is also in the real estate group, where she focuses on general commercial real estate, retail leasing and secured lending. Meier works in the Commercial Law and Securities Group, advising public and private companies and private equity groups in industries including technology, healthcare, and entertainment. “We congratulate all three new partners and are proud to celebrate their accomplishments.” Managing Partner Ken Lund said. Only 22 percent of Denver-area partners are women, according to the latest NALP data. When Law Week published the Colorado 200 in November, HRO had 58 partners, 12 of them women.

Two Denver lawyers for Dorsey & Whitney have been named partners effective Jan. 1, 2010.
They are Katina C. Banks, a trademark lawyer, and Tim Worrall, a patent lawyer.
Banks was a member of Law Week Colorado’s first class of “Up and Coming Lawyers” in September 2007.
Dorsey named nine new partners in all. The other new partners are in firm offices in Minneapolis, Salt Lake City and Seattle

Barbara J. Kelley, a partner at the Denver law firm Kamlet Reichert, was named today by Gov. Bill Ritter to serve as the new executive director of the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies. She succeeds another lawyer, Rico Munn, who was named executive director of the Colorado Department of Higher Education.
Kelley’s appointment is effective Dec. 1.
Kelley is a member of the American, Colorado, Denver and Sam Cary bar associations. Earlier this year, Law Week Colorado honored her as one of “2009 Top Women Lawyers.”
“Barbara is a strong leader whose dynamic set of skills, knowledge and experience will be of great value to the people and businesses served by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies,” Ritter said. “In this tough economy, we need leaders like Barbara whose fresh ideas and new approaches will help protect consumers, support small businesses and guide us toward a quick, strong and sustainable recovery.”
Kelley received her bachelor’s and law degrees from Indiana University in Bloomington. At Kamlet Reichert, she specializes in corporate and financing transactions, commercial banking, commercial real estate, as well as general commercial and business matters. She heads the firm’s secured transactions practice area.
