A Boulder woman filed the first lawsuit against Boulder Community Hospital and a former surgical nurse, claiming the nurse swapped saline solution for painkiller medication during an operation.

Boulder County District Court Judge Gwyneth Whalen denied a sex offender a new public defender because she didn’t find their communication breakdown to be serious enough for warrant a new attorney.
